Star Tiles Puzzle (“Star Tiles”, “the App”) is a puzzle game published by Dhaval Patel. This policy explains what information the iPhone app and the web version handle. We do not sell your data, and the App contains no analytics or tracking SDK of our own.
No account is needed. Progress, coins, settings, daily missions, achievements and your display name are saved on your device (local storage) and do not leave it except as described below.
If you choose to sign in, Apple shares a unique account identifier and, only if you allow it, your name and email (which may be a private relay address). We store a profile in our database (hosted by Supabase): display name, coins, game stats, rank, daily missions and login streak. It is used only to sync your progress across devices.
In the App go to Home → 👤 Account → Delete account. This permanently deletes your cloud profile, your sign-in, and leaderboard entries linked to the account. Local progress on the device stays as a guest. You can also email us to request deletion.
When you finish a game against the computer, a daily puzzle or an online game, your score, display name, mode/difficulty and a random per-install device id may be submitted to the public weekly and daily leaderboards. Other players can see your display name and score.
Online games (1v1 and Team 2v2) are private rooms joined with a room code or invite link. Moves, chat messages you type, your display name and a random session id are relayed through public relays (MQTT over WebSocket and ntfy.sh) so the other phones can sync. We do not log these messages. Do not share personal information in chat. You can turn chat off, block a player, or report them; a report sends the room code, the reported name and the last chat messages to us for review.
If you allow notifications, a push token (Apple APNs, or Web Push on the web app) is stored with a random device id, your display name and the room codes of your active online games, so we can tell you when it is your turn. Turn notifications off in iPhone Settings at any time.
The free iPhone app shows ads from Google AdMob (a full-screen ad after some games and optional rewarded ads). AdMob may collect device identifiers (the advertising identifier only if you allow tracking in the iOS prompt), IP address, coarse location derived from IP, device information and ad interaction data to serve and measure ads and prevent fraud. If you choose “Ask App Not to Track”, ads are non-personalized. See How Google uses information from apps. Buying Remove Ads or Pro turns ads off.
Purchases are processed by Apple. We never see your payment details. Coins have no cash value.
The Share button opens your device's share sheet with your score and an invite link. Nothing is posted unless you choose to.
Supabase (database and sign-in), Apple (sign-in, purchases, notifications), Google AdMob (ads), GitHub Pages (hosting the web version), and the public relays listed above.
The App is for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
We may update this policy; the date above will change when we do.
